It’s nice to see working class black folks going through their daily drama, showing the good, the bad and the not so nice struggle we face living in any Canadian city. We like the positive message and realism that’s attached to the show. “Kink In My Hairâ€, portraits typical West Indian families that migrated to Canada, trying to make their dream a reality. The struggle is not always easy but at the end of the day (each episode) they are all proud to be holding their heads up and doing the right thing. Excellent Job to all the participants including Global for giving us a primetime.

Ok, considering that 11 of the 15 posts on this review are from the same person, I wouldn’t consider this a legitimate review at all. Yes Francisa, we get it, you like guys blah blah blah. Meanwhile, this show is joke, and not the haha kind that this terrible comedy is trying to be. Please don’t start the usual accusations that I’m a big racist and all that defensive action because I think this show is crap…it just is. Please Global TV, if you’re going to have a show of this type, at least realize that the viewers you’re catering to are a VERY small majority of the population. However, I would like to state that a cultural show like this is an excellent idea, as long as it’s writers are a little stronger in the writing department. Sorry for the truth, but this show should have been a goner a long time ago.

Hopefully Gobal will bring back this show. I could only catch the show over the internet due to obligations. I am pleased to see a show like this and wished to support broadcast simular to this.
It is coming back for the 08/09 season – I haven’t heard a specific date yet though.

I love the show.. I saw an episode from season two on channel 11 last thursday (am not sure which episode it was) with Vivica Fox and a standup comedian as guests .. I was wondering if you could tell me the name of the guy… I saw him once on “just for laughs” and enjoyed his show…
