We don’t have proms out here in Western Canada either. We have our grad ceremonies, our grad banquets and then later a grad formal. We don’t have cheerleaders either (girls out here actually participate in actual sports rather than cheering on guys’ teams). I always thought things like proms and cheerleading were American things. Do you actually have those in Ontario or were those just put into the show for the American audience? I’ve always been curious.
Yes my school had both a prom and cheerleading team
There are also girls on Degrassi who do other sports.
It’s not Degrassi’s fault that Americans appreciate the show more than Canadians do.
Degrassi is into its 8th season which is a MIRACLE for Canadian TV. Dont forget that.
