  1. Sorry, Flashpoint — just another tired old cop show — is no where near the same quality in terms of meeting a high standard of television entertainment as compared to Swingtown. The fact that it is produced in Canada is inconsequential. In Swingtown, Canadian, Molly Parker, offers an outstanding performance as the sheltered housewife, Susan Millar, who epitomizes the changes that ordinary women experienced in the mid-1970’s. It involved more personally empowerment that, yes, included how they felt about their own sexuality. In nine episodes, there have been only two ‘suggestions’ of swinging. The writing is excellent, as are the acting and production values. Definitely time well spent, Thursday night on Global.
