FRESH TV INC. AND BLUEPRINT ENTERTAINMENT DEVELOPING NEW LIVE ACTION SERIES FOR YOUNG ADULTS

Fresh TV Inc. and BLUEPRINT ENTERTAINMENT have teamed up to co-produce a new live-action series with animated elements about the hilarious ups and challenging downs of being a teenager. In Maya’s Opinion centers on the life of an overly-imaginative teenaged girl and is the first time Fresh TV and BLUEPRINT have collaborated. The show is currently in development with Corus Entertainment’s YTV.

In Maya’s Opinion is a single-camera, half-hour comedy for 10 to 14 year olds. The viewer experiences the good, the bad, and the embarrassing through the eyes of 14-year old Maya Hughes. Using CGI-enhanced “Mayanimation”, the viewer sees Maya’s hyperactive imagination at work, literally blowing the day-to-day life of a teenager out of proportion. Even with her teenaged troubles, Maya has an optimistic outlook on life and believes anything is possible – even if it means breaking the rules every once in a while.

“We are psyched to be collaborating with Blueprint,” said Tom McGillis, President of Fresh TV. “Working with their experienced and passionate team will extend our reach in the world of live-action tween entertainment.”

Frank Saperstein, SVP of Children’s and Animated Programming at Blueprint Entertainment added, “Working with Fresh TV and Corus/YTV on a project as innovative and fun as In Maya’s Opinion is exactly the kind of partnerships we dream of at Blueprint. We are excited to be working with the talented team at Fresh and their proven ability to tap into the teen and tween market.

“Using CG animation to enhance Maya’s unique personality, we feel this show will bring a new style of comedy to the live action genre,” said Jocelyn Hamilton, VP Content, Corus Kids. “Our team is having so much fun developing this project and we are really looking forward to making our audience connect with our character’s lives.”

In Maya’s Opinion is created by Jeffrey Alan Schechter & Jeff Biederman. Frank Saperstein and John Morayniss will serve as executive producers for Blueprint while Tom McGillis, Jennifer Pertsch, Brian Irving and George Elliot will executive produce for Fresh TV. International distribution will be managed by Blueprint’s Oasis International. The series is slated for production in April 2009.
