From director Mike Dowes comes a brand new Showcase original comedy series that takes on the elite world of philanthropy, where sincerity, sentimentality and immense altruism are intertwined with petty egos and greed. The series tells the story of Michael Valmont-Selkirk (Mike Wilmot), an irresponsible, corrupt man holding the reins of a powerful non-profit organization. Starring Mike Wilmot, Rebecca Northan and Martin Sims.

Viewer favourite Kenny vs. Spenny is a provocative reality/comedy series in which two childhood friends battle each other in outrageous competitions. Season six delivers even more extreme antics, more intense rivalries and more pain-staking dares from two of television’s craziest and most dysfunctional roommates. The boys are back to their unusual tricks, stopping at nothing to humiliate, sabotage and one-up each other in their never-ending quest for juvenile supremacy. Starring Kenny Hotz, Spencer Rice.

Paradise Falls, Season Three
Wednesdays at 9:30 pm ET/PT beginning September 2, 2009
The campy dramatic series Paradise Falls is back for a another season that chronicles the ever-twisting tales of murder, mystery and steamy love affairs in a seemingly quaint little vacation spot nestled in the woods of the Canadian North. However, this year what’s going on behind cottage doors will knock viewers’ socks off: gay weddings gone awry at the local B&B, mysterious sightings in the woods, creepy cults, missing bodies, racy couples, love triangles – and for those interested in above-the-sheets politics, a local election filled with dirty tricks.

The Best Years, Season Two
Thursday at 9 p.m. ET/PT beginning September 3, 2009
This year at Charles University, it’s going to get a little wild, a little sexy, and a lot of fun. Sam returns from an eight-month detour to South America to find some familiar faces and a few new ones. She’s feistier and more determined than ever to reinvent herself, have fun and find happiness. Sam will take on her difficult relationships with family members, renew old friendships, new romantic interests and find a variety of ways to bond with new characters. If freshman year is about breaking free of the shackles of adolescence, then sophomore year is about redefining who you are as an adult. Starring Charity Shea, Randal Edwards, Jennifer Miller and Tommy Lioutas.

  1. Paradise Falls is only on Season Three? Hasn’t that show been airing since 2001? And didn’t they air a Season Three last year?

  2. Roger – Rent-a-Goalie is not necessarily cancelled, just not on for the fall. However as far as I know it also hasn’t been renewed yet and wasn’t a sure thing at all. So I wouldn’t make any bets ;)

Dwayne – yes Paradise Falls started in 2001 but yes, it’s only season three and it’s the first time on Showcase, though season 3 aired in the US last year.
