Watch as two families go head-to-head in the chance of a lifetime – to design, construct, decorate and win the home of their dreams when the Citytv original series My RONA Home premieres Sunday, October 4 at 9PM ET/PT(8PM CT/MT)
Hosted by Elissa Lansdell My RONA Home follows two families – the Mooney family (Yellow Team) and the Cottrell/McCarty family (Blue Team) – in a competition to see who can best design, construct and decorate a brand new home. In an exciting race against the clock, each family is matched with a team of experts, and they work room-by-room, with a deadline of 30 hours to complete each phase of the house. Viewers watch as each team does all of the work in building one of the first homes seen on television to be built to the LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Canada for Homes standard. Each family must live in on-site trailer homes and work side by side, making the competition fierce and emotional. Things kick-off on the premiere episode where both couples meet their team of experts and get a feel for the competition before getting down to business.
Citytv viewers will have the ultimate say – via online or phone – as they vote each week on which family did the best job from frame to finish. The family with the most votes over the course of the season will win their dream home with all of the furnishings – an estimated value of $400,000.
