   So once again media feels the need to once again contribute to the Asian Male stereotypes. Take your pick

   1. Asian fathers with strict family tradition
   2. Asian female falls in love with white male
   3. Asian male as cold and un-expressive
   4. Asian marriages lacking any real passion (the “I love you, but I’m not in love with you” syndrome)
   5. Asian female and white male union depicted as much more exciting, passionate and romantic
   6. Asian female is expected to love (asian male) out of duty

   It’s obvious Vincent Lam wants his story (Printed Literature and Television) to be a commercial success by focusing on the forbidden asian female/white male relationship as well as the passionless but “right” relationship between her and the asian male. I would expect this anti-asian male literature from a white male or Amy Tan.
