Chef Worthy returns to Viva on May 22

• Season 2 premieres on Saturday, May 22 at 7 p.m. ET in the VIVA Cuisine block

Chef Worthy returns to VIVA this May with a fresh batch of amateur chefs competing for the title of Chef Worthy. Chef Michael Potters, owner of the renowned Harvest restaurant, is back to host the series which pits family and friends against each other in a friendly kitchen competition. Two cooks face the heat, but only one can reign supreme when Chef Worthy Season 2 premieres Saturday, May 22 at 7 p.m. during the VIVA Cuisine block.

Produced by Big Coat Productions in association with VIVA, each episode sees two brave and competitive amateur cooks step up to the stove and present their culinary skills to Chef Potters and a panel of experts. From tasting challenges and working on the line in some of the city’s busiest restaurants, to the ultimate final showdown in the Culinary Coliseum, only one cook will walk away with the Chef’s hat and bragging rights to call themselves Chef Worthy.

The first episode of the season introduces viewers to Sheryl and Lisa, both overconfident and outspoken; they became instant friends when their husbands introduced them years ago. Both enthusiastic home cooks, they started trying to outdo each other at dinner parties and now compete over pretty much everything. Chef Michael Potters discovers what both cooks need to do to become more proficient in the kitchen, and let’s them loose to show off their skills in The Host restaurant. Who has what it takes to win the title of best cook? Audiences can tune in to find out when Season 2 of Chef Worthy premieres Saturday, May 22 at 7 p.m.
