  1. What idiot made the decision to cancel The Border? Here was a Canadian drama that had solid performers, a tight script and drama…so of course CBC would cancel it. Ironically it happened as the show was being nominated for awards that reflected its’ quality. So of course some brain-dead idiot would decide to pull the plug…we can’t be having success from a public-funded operation, can we.

  2. I agree! I just found out today that The Border was cancelled. I had been looking forward to it since the end of last season. This is very disappointing. I certainly will not be wasting my time watching Battle of the Blades or Being Erica to replace quality tv. Back to the radio…

  3. Thank goodness for PBS, national public broadcasting for people who can think. Does CBC actually believe that the entire Canadian nation is mindless? The “new” look for both radio and television is an insult, and I resent having to pay for it.

Finally fed up in Nova Scotia.

  4. Ok, so we have a show, The Border, that is about real issues that portrays Canada as it really is, has great acting, excellent writing, which people actually watch (not just those who only have three channels in Inuvik). I know … lets cancel it. Are you kidding me, Corner Gas, Men with Brooms, Battle of the Blades ??? – how cliche and stereotypically Canadian. If I wanted that I would watch the Winter Olympics closing ceremonies over and over again :-( The Tudors – does anyone who does not get senior’s discounts at Denny’s care about the Monarchy? I was finally getting something out of my charitable donations (I mean taxes). Oh well, back to ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX……..

  5. Thanks, CBC, for The Tudors! I was afraid it would be cut this season. And no, Eric, I’m nowhere near qualifying for seniors’ discounts!

  6. I to am happy about the return of the Tudors, although they don`t have all the facts correct ,it is a truly intresting hour spent, I am also not a senior and find the comment a bit insulting, however , I can understand people getting upset when T.V. stations leave viewers hanging by not picking up or cont, series that we have come to enjoy, without a final that one finishes up lose ends and two makes us feel okay about it

  7. i can’t bekieve a good show like the border is cancelled….i have beeing loking forward to the new season.

  8. What? No “The Border” this season???? On the one hand, I can’t believe it. But…on the other hand like Eric and Anonymous in Winnipeg, I can !

Cancel Rick Mercer and CBC TV would have little appeal for me.

  9. I am just wondering why we have to watch re-runs like The Mercer Report, Just for Laughs, 22 minutes every day. I am not pleased with CBC as we do not have cable in our area, the only station we have is CBC and it is kind of boring watching the same re-runs day after day. Please, please try to show something else.
