atta74f6It was revealed live tonight that KEVIN Howe (22), a Contemporary dancer from Ottawa, ON and SHELAINA Anderson (20), a Contemporary dancer from Edmonton, AB would be leaving the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA stage. The results were revealed live during tonight’s broadcast after host Leah Miller revealed the three couples with the lowest number of votes. The 14 remaining dancers will take to the stage on Monday, August 8 at 8 p.m. ET on CTV (go to ctv.ca to confirm local listings).

The bottom three couples who performed their solos for Canada this week were JORDAN Clark (19), a Contemporary dancer from Tottenham, ON and SHANE Simpson (23), a Jazz dancer from Thornhill, ON, who performed an emotional Contemporary routine to an Amy Winehouse song; KEVIN and SHELAINA who danced an angst-filled Contemporary routine; and DENITSA Ikonomova (24), a Ballroom dancer from Laval, QC and JOEY Arrigo (19), a Contemporary dancer from Newmarket, ON, who steamed up the stage with an street inspired Salsa routine. Following the reveal, each dancer had the opportunity to dance for their lives before the judges deliberated and decided that KEVIN and SHELAINA would be the next two dancers eliminated from the competition.

Opening tonight’s show was a breathtaking contemporary group number choreographed by SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA boot camp drill sergeant, choreographer and judge, Blake McGrath. Dressed in soft, flowing costumes, The Top 16 performed a heavenly and angelic routine to the music “God is Able” by Smokie Norful.
