att65da0With the final votes now cast for Canada’s Favourite Dancer, CTV revealed details today about Sunday’s first-ever Top 6 SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA season finale, a two-hour dance spectacle featuring 23 performances. Airing Sunday, September 11 at 8 p.m. in all time zones on CTV (8:30 p.m. NL), the jam-packed finale features three new group numbers, Season 4’s most memorable routines, and a surprise performance by two special guests. The judge’s desk will also be extended to fit nine judges including Jean Marc Genereux, Tré Armstrong, Luther Brown, Blake McGrath and guest judges Mary Murphy, Mia Michaels, Rex Harrington, Sean Cheesman and Sergio Trujillo.

Kicking off the two-hour dance extravaganza, the Top 22 will reunite for a new and very special group number, created by world-renowned choreographer Sergio Trujillo. In the group number, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA introduces another surprise twist as the Top 22 dancers will be joined by judges Jean Marc Genereux, Tré Armstrong, Luther Brown, Blake McGrath and guest judge Mary Murphy, who all make a cameo in the routine showing off their own moves. This is the first time that any of the judges have ever performed in a group number in the show’s history. The Top 10 will also perform a new contemporary group number choreographed by 2011 EMMY®-nominated Stacey Tookey, and the Top 6 will take to the stage for a special lyrical-jazz routine choreographed by guest judge Sean Cheesman.

Before the winner is announced and claims the $100,000 prize and a brand new Chevrolet Cruze, the finale will feature some of the best and most memorable routines seen throughout the season including numbers from choreographers Sabrina Matthews, Melissa Williams, Sho-Tyme, Sean Cheesman, Stacey Tookey, Gustavo Vargas, Tony Meredith and Melanie Lapatin, Steve Bolton, Longinus Fernandes and judges Blake McGrath and Luther Brown. Throughout the two-hour finale, viewers will also look back at the Top 6’s journey from this season with video recaps.

The Top 6’s journey started almost a year ago during the audition tour, where CHRISTIAN was discovered in Montreal, JORDAN, MELISSA and SHANE in Toronto, LINDSAY in Vancouver and MATT in Saint John. Now one member of the Top 6 will be crowned Canada’s Favourite Dancer. Will it be CHRISTIAN Millette, 28, a Ballroom dancer from Montreal, QC; JORDAN Clark, 19, a Contemporary dancer from Tottenham, ON; LINDSAY Leuschner, 19, a Contemporary dancer from Stouffville, ON; MATT Marr, 20, a Contemporary from Quispamsis, NB; MELISSA Mitro, 23, a Contemporary dancer from Richmond Hill, ON; or SHANE Simpson, 24, a Jazz dancer from Thornhill, ON?
