More Canadian Screen Awards presenters announced

MORE OF CANADA’S TOP TALENT JOIN THE ROSTER OF PRESENTERS ON SUNDAY, MARCH 3RD FOR THE CANADIAN SCREEN AWARDS AIRING ON CBC TELEVISION

  • Host Martin Short and Canada’s biggest stars celebrate homegrown talent for one special night

With just days to go before saluting the best in the business, CBC Television and the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television are proud to announce additional celebrity presenters for the much anticipated CANADIAN SCREEN AWARDS airing this Sunday, March 3rd at 8 p.m. (8:30 NT) on CBC Television.

Seven more presenters are set to join beloved comedian and host Martin Short, to honour our nation’s top film and television talent. Rounding out the mix are Geneviève Bujold (Still Mine), Sara Canning (Primeval: New World), Kristin Kreuk (Beauty and the Beast), Kristin Lehman (Motive), the Honourable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, Sandra Oh (Grey’s Anatomy) and Alan Thicke (The L.A. Complex).

They will share the stage with the previously announced Stephen Amell (Arrow), Jay Baruchel (Goon), Adam Beach (Arctic Air), Jody Claman (The Real Housewives of Vancouver), Kim Coates (Goon), Enrico Colantoni (Flashpoint), James Cromwell (Still Mine), Arlene Dickinson (Dragons’ Den), Erica Durance (Saving Hope), Marc-André Grondin (Goon), Allan Hawco (Republic of Doyle), Catherine O’Hara (Frankenweenie), Rick Mercer (Rick Mercer Report), Ronnie Negus (The Real Housewives of Vancouver), Lisa Ray (Top Chef Canada), Brad Smith (The Bachelor Canada), Meg Tilly (Bomb Girls), Laura Vandervoort (Smallville) and Mary Zilba (The Real Housewives of Vancouver).

Catch all the pre-show action as the stars hit the red carpet during CBC Television’s arrivals show, starting at 8 p.m. (8:30 p.m. NT), hosted by the witty Shaun Majumder. Watch as Canada’s biggest stars arrive at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto for the first-ever CANADIAN SCREEN AWARDS.
