Dino Hunt Canada shows off our nation’s long history of prehistoric beast discovery
“You may not know this, but Canada is currently in a golden age of dinosaur discoveries.” Paleontologist Dr. David Evans, who oversees dinosaur research at the Royal Ontario Museum, announced this to an assembly of media and ROM brass last week ahead of the unveiling of a new species of prehistoric reptile. The as-yet-unnamed beast, uncovered by Evans and his team last summer during a dig in Alberta, is the cornerstone of History Channel’s new series, Dino Hunt Canada, which follows 16 paleontologists across the country as they unearth fossils, bones and other evidence of the planet’s prehistoric inhabitants.
