    BASIC ($36.95)
    We watch CBC, CTV, CTV2, Global, City TV, ABC, PBS, FOX, NBC, APTN, CHCH, CPAC, MTV, MUCH, VISION, CTV Newsnet, CBC Newsworld, E, NTV, Teletoon Retro, TSN, The Weather Network, Treehouse, YTV, W Network
    We don’t watch CBS, AMI, CHEK, JoyTV, HopeTV, CMT, GameTV, Daystar, The Knowledge Network, The Shopping Channel, OMNI, TLN + all French stations

    UPGRADE TO “SELECT” PACKAGE (add $24 a month)
    We watch A&E, BBC World News, BRAVO, Discovery, HGTV, History, Showcase, Space, Sportsnet, TCM

    We don’t watch HBO and cannot get Crave TV because our phone jack is not connected to our receiver

    We currently don’t subscribe to this bundle which includes OWN, Lifetime, Nickelodeon, Sundance, W Movies, Silver Screen, Movietime, BBC Kids, Cartoon Network, BBC Channel and IFC

    We don’t currently subscribe to this bundle which includes ESPN Classic, Fight Network, GOL TV, NBA TV, NHL Network, WFN and Wild TV (however, we do purchase Wild TV on its own for $4)

    TIMESHIFTING ($5 a month)
    We pay this to get the various affiliates of the Canadian and American nets so we can use the time zones to organize our DVR recordings)

    FOREIGN LANGUAGE & ADULT ENTERTAINMENT
    We don’t subscribe to any.

  2. This Pick and Pay model is more likely to outright flop and die a quick death maybe even before it is said and done, if the public realizes that packages are better than one channel here or another there and another point is that we don’t have the kind of populace to have small niche channels that can survive on their own terms, unlike a U.S.A. or U.K. for example.
    AND if you look at a Game TV, it’s closer to a USA Network model than a GSN or a Challenge TV
