2018-19 Canadian TV season renewal scorecard

With the 2017-18 Canadian television season ending soon, the networks are putting the finishing touches on their primetime lineups for 2018-19. That means celebrations for fans of shows that have been renewed and sadness for programs that won’t return.

  1. My favourite new Canadian show from the past year was 21 Thunder but I’ve heard zilch about it this past year so I’m guessing it was DOA. Another show that should have gotten a renewal announcement by now is Heartland, another show I like, I’d be extremely surprised if it doesn’t get another season or two.

    Second Jen actually got renewed? I watched it but to me it was meh. I’m happy all the other Canadian shows I watch are coming back including Vikings, Wynnona Earpe, When Calls the Heart, Anne, Kim’s Convenience and Workin’ Moms.

    Do you know anything about Chesapeake Shores? Technically it’s a Canadian show.

  2. I really would like to see “Bryan Inc” and “The Detail” renewed those 2 shows were great. I didn’t notice Scott’s Boot camp is that not Canadian . It would be nice to see that renewed.
