In the news: Canada’s Next Top Model controversy

Tara Merrin of Sun Media interviews Nole Marin, who refutes last year’s winner’s claims that judge Jeanne Beker ruined her career:

  • Model shooter backs show’s judge
“Controversy erupted last month when (Andrea) Muizelaar, in an attempt to set the record straight, told the Sun she had not quit modelling, as previously reported. Instead, she claims, after inadvertently insulting Beker in a magazine article, the judge set out to destroy her career.”

In the news: Eliminated Canada’s Next Top Model contestant lashes out

From the Canadian Press:

  • ‘Top Model’ reject Cori fires back
“I don’t really care anymore because I know those people don’t matter,” the doe-eyed blond from Val Caron, Ont., said Thursday in an interview. “They’re like fat slobs sitting at home on their computer all day long – like, that’s all they do.”

And a more diplomatic interview fro the Sudbury Star:

  • MacKinnon ousted from Top Model competition
“I had the time of my life, it was awesome,” she said. “I learned a lot and I definitely became more confident out of the whole thing. I definitely learned a lot about modelling that will hopefully help me.”
