Season 9 of Murdoch Mysteries part of AMI’s fall lineup

From a media release:

Accessible Media Inc. (AMI) announced today its programming schedule for the 2015 fall season including a roster of new dramas, comedies, and movies as well as returning favourites and popular original programs.

The fall schedule kicks off on Sunday, September 6 with a two and a half hour Coronation Street mini-marathon. Then, prepare for a full British invasion every Sunday beginning September 20 with five straight current episodes of Coronation Street followed by never before described episodes of Downton Abbey.

Fans of medical programs can tune in to see Hugh Laurie as an eccentric medical genius in House, M.D. or catch the Canadian supernatural medical drama Saving Hope. For those more intrigued by crime solving and courtroom battles, the first season of Law and Order: SVU debuts on AMI-tv while all new Murdoch Mysteries returns for season nine. Other returning favourites include Matlock and new seasons of both W5 and The Fifth Estate while additional Canadian programs include Degrassi: The Next Generation and Trailer Park Boys.

Weekend movies will continue with Friday Night Lights, Ray and Inside Man among those lined up for the coming year and sports fans can enjoy an exciting September as the red hot Blue Jays continue to fight for a playoff spot with AMI’s live described Major League Baseball.

AMI is also proud to continue to produce engaging and entertaining original programming as AMI This Week returns with a fresh new look while Sports Access, Four Senses and Canada in Perspective are all back for brand new seasons.

Link: 5 Favourite Murdoch Mysteries Inventions

From Adnan M. of The Arts Guild:

5 Favourite Murdoch Mysteries Inventions
We have had eight wonderful seasons of Murdoch Mysteries, and the very-Canadian detective has created some pretty cool things in those 114 episodes. I thought I’d take a moment to go over 5 of my favourite inventions by the detective. These are in no particular order. It’s somewhat unwise to pick your favourite because, let’s face it, Murdoch inventions are all cool!

Do share your favourite invention in Murdoch Mysteries in the comments below. It doesn’t have to be by the artful detective himself, but even from others such as serial-inventor James Pendrick. Continue reading.

This time around, Diane, Anthony and Greg break down some of the items available in TV, eh?’s charity auction benefitting Kids Help Phone, including Bitten scripts and a set visit, drinks with Canadian TV writers, notes on your TV script, Rookie Blue swag and a set visit and walk-on role on Murdoch Mysteries.

Speaking of Murdoch Mysteries, Greg described his recent Fan Day experience, where thousands were given access to the show’s Toronto headquarters.

Finally, the trio reflected on the news that Mr. Dressup‘s co-stars, Casey and Finnegan, have been found alive(?) and well off the coast of British Columbia.

Slide show: Fan Day at Murdoch Mysteries

Last weekend was a big one for Murdoch Mysteries fans. Thousands attended Saturday and Sunday’s sold-out ticketed events at the show’s Toronto main stage, where everyone not only had access to some of the sets but the series’ stars as well.

Yannick Bisson, Jonny Harris, Hélène Joy, Arwen Humphreys, Thomas Craig and Peter Keleghan were among the cast available for photos, prop master Craig Grant provided laughs as he zipped guests around in the Pendrick Bullet and the doors were opened to the morgue, constabulary, William and Julia’s hotel room and the expansive backlot.

Take a peek at some of the items we saw during our two-hour visit.
