Chef Worthy returns to Viva on May 22

chefworthyChef Worthy returns to VIVA this May with a fresh batch of amateur chefs competing for the title of Chef Worthy. Chef Michael Potters, owner of the renowned Harvest restaurant, is back to host the series which pits family and friends against each other in a friendly kitchen competition. Two cooks face the heat, but only one can reign supreme when Chef Worthy Season 2 premieres Saturday, May 22 at 7 p.m. during the VIVA Cuisine block.

Produced by Big Coat Productions in association with VIVA, each episode sees two brave and competitive amateur cooks step up to the stove and present their culinary skills to Chef Potters and a panel of experts. From tasting challenges and working on the line in some of the city’s busiest restaurants, to the ultimate final showdown in the Culinary Coliseum, only one cook will walk away with the Chef’s hat and bragging rights to call themselves Chef Worthy.

The first episode of the season introduces viewers to Sheryl and Lisa, both overconfident and outspoken; they became instant friends when their husbands introduced them years ago. Both enthusiastic home cooks, they started trying to outdo each other at dinner parties and now compete over pretty much everything. Chef Michael Potters discovers what both cooks need to do to become more proficient in the kitchen, and let’s them loose to show off their skills in The Host restaurant. Who has what it takes to win the title of best cook? Audiences can tune in to find out when Season 2 of Chef Worthy premieres Saturday, May 22 at 7 p.m.

Over the course of seven episodes, CANADA’S WORST HANDYMAN 5 reveals how and where it all goes wrong when DIY enthusiasm and ineptitude collide. Come Dine With Me comes to Canada

Corus Entertainment announced today that a Canadian version of the hit international format Come Dine with Me is coming to W Network. Produced by Proper Television in association with W Network and based on a format created by ITV Studios (UK), Come Dine with Me Canada is set to start filming this summer, targeting a launch on W Network in fall 2010.

Come Dine with Me follows five amateur chefs competing for the title of the ultimate dinner party host. Each night for a week these strangers take turns cooking up their idea of the perfect evening. Each competitor then rates the host’s performance and the winner is rewarded with the ‘ultimate dinner party host’ title and a cash prize.

The Come Dine with Me format has established itself as one of the world’s most successful television format exports, currently produced locally in 20 territories and featuring more than 4,000 episodes across eleven languages.

Come Dine with Me (UK) is currently airing on W Network on Saturdays and Sundays at 1 p.m. ET/PT.
