• ‘The Mom Show’ coming home
  “Gelman is spending three months this summer shooting the third season of The Mom Show. She co-hosts with Ottawa native and Rogers Daytime alum Catherine Marion. The pair will be back in town when the show travels to the St. Laurent Centre to shoot on location July 5 and 6, and Gelman says she’s constantly inspired by stories from the real moms who appear on it.”

• 10th Anniversary Season of Comedy Now! and Multiple Award-Winning Comedy Inc. Settle in for Summer Laughs

It’s a double-bill of Saturday night hilarity as two original comedies return to CTV with all-new seasons beginning Saturday, June 16. The milestone, 10th anniversary season of the star-making stand-up series Comedy Now! and fourth season of the multi-award winning sketch series Comedy Inc. will air back-to-back on Saturday nights from 10 to 11 p.m. on CTV (visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times). The new seasons of both series will also air on The Comedy Network.

Corus Entertainment’s YTV and Vancouver-based Nerd Corps Entertainment have teamed up on the new original series Storm Hawks. The 3D-animated series will launch on mobile, online and on-demand prior to its broadcast premiere this September.

Beginning Wednesday, August 1, until its exclusive Canadian broadcast debut, a free preview of the one-hour premiere episode will be available on YTV Spotlight, the Rogers YTV On Demand service, as well as online at YTV.com.

Whizbang Films, in association with The Movie Network and Movie Central, announced today that production has begun on ZOS: Zone of Separation, an eight-part drama series about the life and death struggle to enforce a United Nations-brokered ceasefire, as peacekeepers face the harsh reality of living in Jadac, a fictional, Sarajevo-like town. ZOS: Zone of Separation shoots in Tuzla, Bosnia, through June 28 before returning to Canada where production will continue in Toronto, Ontario, through October 1, 2007.
