    “Producing a TV show in Saskatchewan has its drawbacks, but also provides rewards beyond the obvious hilarity of filming in “flat as a pancake flat” Rouleau, says the producer behind the hit TV series Corner Gas.”You can build a gas station . . . and a coffee shop and still have a lot of money to market your show,” said producer Virginia Thompson, who heads Saskatchewan-based production company Verite Films.”

  • CBC picks Vancouver exec to top TV post
    “The CBC currently has the Chris Haddock Vancouver-made series Intelligence on the air, and will soon start production on jPod, a dramatic series based on the Douglas Coupland book. It also has several West Coast projects in development. The news was welcomed by members of the B.C. industry. ‘This is terrific,’ said producer Larry Sugar, who made the pilot for jPod. ‘It’s another step in the Toronto-based industry recognizing that a good part of the industry is here.’ “

After a visit from an oddly empathetic refrigerator repairman, Bobbi, as if waking from a dream, makes a decision that may change the course of their lives.
