Daniel Cook and Emily Yeung at Home in Mexico, Morocco & Martinique

The two successful Canadian children’s television series This is Daniel Cook and This is Emily Yeung will now air in over 75 countries as a result of two new international distribution deals finalized this week by marblemedia Distribution and Picture Box Distribution.

Discovery Latin America and Rainbow Television Corporation (based in Beirut, Lebanon), have picked up 65 episodes of each show and will dub and/or subtitle them into the various languages of those territories. South Korean broadcaster, C4U Media Co Ltd, also picked up 65 episodes of This is Daniel Cook for their networks.

These licensing agreements are in addition to the three previous international deals for This is. Currently, Daniel and Emily can be seen daily on Playhouse Disney U.S., and Daniel Cook also airs on Playhouse Disney Germany and Australia’s public broadcaster ABC. In Canada, This Is Daniel Cook plays on Treehouse, TVO Kids, Knowledge Network, Access Alberta and SCN. This is Emily Yeung airs exclusively in Canada on the Corus Entertainment preschool channel, Treehouse.

Territories for Discovery Latin American include Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda Argentina, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados Belize, Bermuda, Bolivia, Brazil, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Chile, Columbia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Falkland Islands, French Guyana, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Martinique, Mexico, Montserrat, Netherland Antilles, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, St. Lucia, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Vincent & Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos Islands, US Virgin Islands, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Rainbow Television territories include Algeria, Bahrain, Chad, Cyprus, Djibouti, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, U.A.E., Tunisia and Yemen.

Both shows are a co-production of Canadian producers marblemedia and Sinking Ship Entertainment.   1. Recently I twice ran across an Emily Yeung show on the Disney Channel. It was on baking bread. I must say that she is probably the cutest, most personable, natural performing, little girl I have ever seen. I was especially impressed by her vocabulary. I assumed that she must be about eight-years old. It’s hard to believe that she is only six. I predict a great future for her. This is all coming from an 81-year old in Cleveland.
