A Canwest Original Series – Howie Do It – to premiere in simulcast on NBC & Global

  • An all new comedy series starring Howie Mandel starts Friday, January 9, 2009

With his signature brand of humour, Howie Mandel comes home with his new comedy series, Howie Do It. Co-commissioned by Global and NBC, this Canadian Original series was filmed on location in Ontario earlier this summer, and will premiere in simulcast on the networks in the new year.

Beginning Friday, January 9 – 8pm ET/PT, Howie and his team of professional pranksters take to the streets performing hoaxes and hilarious tricks on unsuspecting targets. Howie Do It is a special six-part (one hour)

“Quality entertainment knows no boundaries, and Howie Mandel is a true testament to this fact,” said Christine Shipton, SVP, Drama and Factual Content, Canwest Broadcasting. “We, along with our partners at NBC are absolutely thrilled to have Howie back at the helm of his comedic roots, and this is the perfect vehicle to showcase his unique talents.”

Howie Do It is a Canwest Original series, produced in association with Alevy Productions and 3 Arts. Mandel, Scott Hallock (“Scare Tactics”), Kevin Healey (“Spy TV”), Morgan Elliot and Michael Rotenberg serve as the executive producers.
