CBC axes Steven and Chris, Fashion File

From a media release:

CBC Television announces changes to two daytime programs

CBC Television announced today that its daytime lifestyles program Steven and Chris will go on hiatus next season. Production of the program will continue until April 15, 2009. Another daytime program, Fashion File, will conclude production on March 31, 2009 and will not return to the schedule next season.

The remaining six designers are challenged to create an artistic evening gown using many variations of a single product: Post-It’s! The designers are paired with breast cancer survivors, who will model the creations that will later be auctioned to raise money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Guest judge designer Marie Saint Pierre joins the panel to declare the winner and determine who is sent home.
