In the news: Corner Gas hits 100

    “CORNER GAS is set to reach some rarefied heights just before shutting down the pumps for good. The Saskatchewan-set and –produced sitcom will reach the milestone of having its 100th new episode aired on Monday at 10:30 p.m. on CTV and repeating on Saturday at 9 p.m. on the Comedy Network.” Read more.

    ““Degrassi: The Next Generation” has dealt with a variety of frank topics over its nearly 8-year run, including AIDS, alcohol abuse, depression, drugs, homophobia, rape and teen pregnancy. With the U.S. premiere of its latest episode on Friday, the Canadian teen drama expanded its range by revealing one of its younger characters suffered from Asperger syndrome and examining his struggle to function in an unsympathetic environment.” Read more.

New tonight: Degrassi on CTV

7:30 p.m. – DEGRASSI: THE NEXT GENERATION – “Jane Says, Part 1” – ALL-NEW EPISODE

The Shep (Kevin Jubinville) has returned after his sensitivity training and it’s Spirit Week at Degrassi! However, spirits are anything but high at home for Jane (Paula Brancati) as she struggles to get her dropout brother Lucas (Marc Minardi) off the couch. Despite Jane’s efforts, Jane’s mom believes Lucas could benefit from some father/son time. Jane doesn’t want her father in her life. Her friends and family don’t understand why she hates him. Truthfully, neither does Jane.
