When nuclear waste stored on the moon explodes and the Earth falls into a new Ice Age, the very existence of the Sun is forgotten. Those with dictatorial control over all the other inhabitants know about the past and that the sun still exists – but they keep it a secret because that fact would bring their downfall. Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor performed live at Toronto’s Canon Theatre last night as the special guests for next week’s “We Will Rock You” themed episodes on Canadian Idol. The pair was joined on the stage of the hit musical by the Top 7 Canadian Idol competitors as well as the entire cast of “We Will Rock You” for the show-stopping encore.
The blistering performance came after a day of workshops which saw May and Taylor mentor each of the seven remaining Canadian Idol finalists in advance of next Monday’s performance episode, airing August 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CTV.
