Audience doesn’t warm to Arctic Air

    And just as the most garish propaganda seeks to mask inner weakness with over-the-top pomposity, Arctic Air’s real-world support has proven to be shakier than Gaddafi’s. Though the CBC and other Can-con apologists did their best to spin the numbers favourably, the show’s January 10 debut yielded barely over a million viewers, a showing so poor that it failed to even crack BBM Canada’s top 30 of the week. To be fair, Arctic Air did briefly sneak into the #27 slot during the last week of January (narrowly edging out a re-run of CSI New York), but has remained absent ever since. Read more.

Saw Dogs, OLN – “First Breath”
Commissioned by a historic fishing village, Steve designs an evocative sculpture of a mother whale bringing its baby to the surface above a nest of roots. Guest carvers Jeff Samudosky and Mark Colp also work on the project.

The relationships on The L.A. Complex get more and more complicated each week and when Tariq brings his bestie Abby into the recording studio, things with Kaldrick go from complicated to violent. Throw in an adult video set, a slap, a bar fight and a whole lotta sex.

Saw Dogs, OLN – “Race to the Finish”
A commission for a horse racing track presents unusually tough challenges to the carvers, as well as a tight deadline – the last race of the season is only a few days away. Master carvers Jeff Samudosky and Mark Colp are invited to create the sculpture of three charging horses, but first they must find ways to deal with the physical limitations of redwood in their complex and finely-detailed design. Meanwhile, Steve judges a competition where young and old carvers compete.
