CBC’s new shrink series continues to shrink in the ratings. Michael Tuesdays and Thursdays drew just 153,000 overnight, estimated Tuesday night viewers less than a week after being relocated from Wednesdays. Read more.

Two and a Half Men, Big Bang Theory both blast back as new season kicks in
he brand new fall season has already seen one network blink: after two low-rated weeks, CBC has moved acclaimed but low-rated comedy Michael: Tuesdays & Thursdays away from Wednesdays and over to Tuesdays. That leaves the series just a move to Thursdays away from being uncomfortably ironic. Read more.

X Factor no new Death Star unless you’re Michael Tuesday & Thursdays
The other shocker was the painfully low numbers for CBC’s terrific new comedy Michael Tuesday & Thursdays: 199,000. How fast can they move Tuesdays and Thursdays to Fridays?! The Debaters also got crushed by the competition, pulling 187,000. Dragon’s Den did a respectable 1,121,000 against the full fury of Survivor/X. Read more.

Emmy Awards, Survivor, Mercer and 22 Minutes back big as season officially starts
The jockeying for position was evident this week with shows like Big Brother and Americaâ€™s Got Talent bowing out and Survivor, Battle of the Blades, The Mercer Report and Heartland bowing in. As always, a few new shows can get lost in the shuffle. The decision to throw a smart comedy like Michael: Tuesday & Thursdays against the full heat of the weekâ€™s biggest premiere and finale seems odd to say the least. Read more.

That blunted CBC’s Battle of the Blades (1,195,000) but didn’t knock the third season premiere (or competitors Tessa Bonhomme and David Pelletier, right) off the ice. More rocked was CBC’s new talent reality series Cover Me Canada, which managed 591,000 viewers opposite the Emmys. Read more.
