    “On Tuesday, the season premiere of the Rick Mercer Report was watched by 993,000 viewers thanks to Conrad Black’s comedic turn. At 9, The Tudors attracted 957,000 in its sturdy debut. However, Monday’s Dragons’ Den attracted 389,000 and the very fine drama series Intelligence returned with only 221,000 viewers.” Read more.

    “We got slammed into a tough spot,” confirms [creator Chris] Haddock, speaking to Playback Daily while shooting on location in a sketchy downtown Vancouver nightclub. “But in Canada you can’t worry about that, because with the lack of promotion we’re always crippled against U.S. productions. We’re getting none. It’s a shame. It deserves to be seen by Canadians who pay for it.” Read more.

Hallmark Channel picks up season two of Intelligence

Canada’s Critically-Acclaimed Crime Drama Returns to International Television Fall 2007

Monaco-based Daro Film Distribution, along with Vancouver-based distributor Thunderbird Films, today announced that they have extended their worldwide deal with Hallmark Channel for season two of the Canadian television series Intelligence. The Hallmark Channel deal represents more than 160 territories around the world, including the UK, Scandinavia, Italy, Romania, Poland, Hungry, Israel, China, Hong Kong, India, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Russia and the Middle East, among others. The second season of the highly acclaimed television drama will debut globally fall 2007.
