Heather Hits the Hills on CANADA’S NEXT TOP MODEL

  • Hottest women come from Western Canada as final four face-off
  • Catch encore presentations on Star!/FT, MTV, and ‘A’
  • The next episode of CNTM airs on Tuesday, July 7 at 8 p.m. ET

In one of the most exciting episodes yet, and one of the toughest eliminations to date, Heather from Halifax was the sixth hopeful to get cut from CANADA’S NEXT TOP MODEL. The 21-year-old student wasn’t completely shattered by her departure saying “I kind of realized when I was in New York that maybe modeling wasn’t what I want to do. I’m not really that person and I am okay with that.”

Now, it’s down to the final four – all of whom hail from Western Canada – Linsay (Edmonton, AB), Maryam (Vancouver, BC), Meaghan (Winnipeg, MB), and Nikita (Calgary, AB).

The small-town girls travelled to the bright city lights of New York City this week for the stressful “go-see” challenge – a series of auditions and interviews with top designers. Maryam was held back in Toronto for the second time for not having a passport, but there was no way for her to make up what she was missing this time. Meghan rocked her go sees winning the challenge, but Linsay was only a few steps behind. In a shocking and emotional elimination, Maryam was spared once again and Heather got the heave-ho and went home.

Next week’s CANADA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, premiering Tuesday, July 7 at 8 p.m. ET on CTV, is all about the Top 4’s drive to become number one. For starters, they have to nail a Cover Girl shoot under the watchful eye of the photographer – and judge – Mike Ruiz and Creative Director Nolé Marin. The two sets of scrutinizing eyes reduce one girl to tears and she is sent off set. But the models must pull it together when a Top Model icon surprises them at the next challenge. Wrapped in a very delicate “fabric,” the girls must strut through a tricky tabletop obstacle course, but one model accidentally sabotages another with a rip heard across the city. Four model-hopefuls become three when one of the girls is wiped out of the competition in an emotionally charged elimination.

Encore presentations of tonight’s episode air on Star! and FashionTelevisionChannel, Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET; on MTV, Thursday at 10 p.m. ET; and a special Sunday night catch-up broadcast airs on ‘A’ at 10 p.m. ET.
