This April, Corus Entertainment’s OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network (Canada) presents the premiere of the new original series, Buy.o.logic. No medical ailment is off limits, no healthcare product is safe from scrutiny and no test is too outrageous to tackle. Produced by Worldwide Bag Media Inc. in association with OWN (Canada), Buy.o.logic premieres Tuesday, April 3 at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT and will do whatever it takes to help viewers make smart buys for their bodies.

Everyday ailments – from insomnia to allergies, sore feet to bad breath – go under the microscope as Buy.o.logic formulates a prescription for a better and healthier you. Host and acclaimed investigative reporter Isla Traquair has dedicated her life to uncovering how everyday products affect our health. Now she’s ready (and surprisingly willing) to even put herself to the test. Her goal is to find the best products for viewers and their families based on performance, ingredients and price.

Each episode of Buy.o.logic spans the health horizon to showcase multiple segments including: A & K Approved, where North America’s shopping gurus, Anna Wallner and Kristina Matisic reveal which products are helping make their busy lives healthier and earn the A&K stamp of approval; Isla Asks, raising embarrassing questions including “Why do I have gas?” and “What makes my breath smell bad?” with Buy.o.logic’s medical expert Dr. Dave Hepburn; Buy.agnosis, where medical pros get to the bottom of common complaints and serve up vital advice on how best to beat them. Then Isla, through a series of scientific and usability tests, pinpoints the products that will help the most with what ails you; Flash Mob Testers giving audiences different opinions from everyday people on products ranging from kitchen cleaners to dental floss; and Inside Isla as Isla jumps in head, nose and colon first to personally experience medical testing. She allows audiences to not only see her brain up close and personal (MRI), but also permits the camera to go where none has gone before – in her colon (colonoscopy) and up her nose (sinus scope).

In the premiere episode, Isla and Dr. Dave examine the cause of bad breath and how different products work to combat the problem. They also hit the town to teach men to stop procrastinating on prostrate health. Allergies force Isla to figure out which vacuum cleaners suck. A flash mob puts five ab machines through a real workout and our shopping gurus Anna and Kristina discover the life changing joys of neti pots.
