New, Original Sports Trivia Show Beer Money Premieres Dec. 17 on Citytv Vancouver

Hosts Sunny Lenarduzzi and comedian Andrew Barber crash local bars and sports arenas to hand out cold cash to unsuspecting fans in new Citytv original series, Beer Money. Like a laugh? Know a little about the Canucks, Lions, and Whitecaps? Those who do can walk away with $130 in cash…and who couldn’t use a little more Beer Money? Beer Money premieres Monday, Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m. PT on Citytv Vancouver.

Born into Canadian sports royalty, Sunny Lenarduzzi (daughter of Bob Lenarduzzi, former athlete and President of the Vancouver Whitecaps FC) is a lively interviewer not afraid to mix it up with athletes … or the public. A radio and television dynamo, Sunny’s favourite career moment – so far – is reporting on the 2010 Winter Olympics, including Jon Montgomery’s gold medal run and his triumphant parade through Whistler.

Vancouver-based comedian, actor, writer, and director – Andrew Barber is famed for creating the video sensation of the Vancouver Canucks’ 2011 Stanley Cup run with his YouTube series featuring the madcap adventures of his sports-mad character, Boston Greg. A regular on the local comedy scene, Andrew can be seen about the city showcasing his improv and sketch comedy chops.

Beer Money writer Tom Hawthorn is an award-winning newspaper and magazine journalist. He is a member of the Society for International Hockey Research and the Society for American Baseball Research. Marni Goldman is the production executive for Rogers Media.
