The Mystery Behind Snowboarder’s Death Uncovered in the Season Finale of Whistler, August 25 on CTV

After months of deceit, secrets and scandals, the questions surrounding the mysteries on the mountain are finally answered in the final three episodes of CTV’s Whistler. It all begins with Episode 11 on Sunday, August 20 at 10 p.m. ET, followed by Episodes 12 and 13 (the explosive season finale) on Friday, August 25 at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET on CTV (check local listings). Capitalizing on the authentic indie sound of the series, Universal Music Canada will release an all-Canadian companion soundtrack next week. Entitled Whistler, Volume One, the 13-track CD features music from the series and drops in stores nationwide on Tuesday, August 22.
In Episode 11, entitled “Scratching the Surface,†Ryan confronts the Coroner, demanding to know what his connection is to Adrien. Just as the Coroner admits Varland paid him to fake Beck’s toxicology report, a familiar face appears on the scene and leaves Ryan in a serious predicament.
In Episode 12, entitled “Meltdown,†Ryan finds himself under the suspicion of murder and must turn to Quinn for help. Adrien’s business is in jeopardy and the McKaye’s hold the only solution. Nicole makes a shocking discovery about her family.
In Episode 13 (season finale), entitled “Unearthed,†the mystery behind Olympic snowboarder Beck McKaye’s death is finally revealed.
The Whistler, Volume One soundtrack features an eclectic roster of purely Canadian artists including Boy, The Mark Inside, C’Mon, Pilot Speed, Hawksley Workman, The Marble Index, Controller Controller, Neverending White Lights, Tangiers, The Diableros, Catlow and Small Sins. The soundtrack also features The Dirtmitts, whose song “Ordinary Day” is featured as the opening track for the series.
Viewers who missed the first ten episodes of Whistler can catch up with all the steamy drama on The CTV Broadband Network at www.ctv.ca Whistler’s Episodes 1 through 10 are currently available on demand. Episode 11 will be made available Monday, August 21 at 9 a.m. ET following its television broadcast on CTV. Episode 12 and the season finale, Episode 13, will be made available Saturday, August 26 at 9 a.m. ET.
Viewers can further enhance their Whistler experience by viewing original, two-to-three minute “webisodes†that allow them to delve deeper into the mystery of Whistler. Each webisode will be made available on demand on The CTV Broadband Network at www.ctv.ca at 9 a.m. ET the next day, following the episodic broadcast of Whistler on CTV.
In Webisode 11, premiering online on Monday, Aug. 21, Carrie realizes she always had a powerful connection with Quinn. In Webisode 12, premiering online on Saturday, Aug. 26, Feeney’s suspicions of Uncle Ryan triggers a crucial memory in Quinn, forcing him to take action.
