The Smart Woman Survival Guide, W Network: The Smart Woman Survival Guide is an innovative half-hour show that combines the best elements of the lifestyle and sitcom genres into a brand new format. The idea for the series was gleaned from W’s research that reveals that time-starved women are looking for shortcuts, tips and expert advice. The hybrid show-within-a-show format combines real-world tips and information on everything from cooking to cocktails, finance to fashion, with the comedy and drama of a sitcom. Airs Mondays at 8 p.m.

Roll Play, Treehouse: With 42 scripts written by renowned Canadian authors, 10 original new songs composed by acclaimed artists like Feist and Patrick Pentland of Sloan, and the magical puppets of the award-winning Famous People Players, the new live-action pre-school series Roll Play promises to get kids moving in a new and creative way. Created and produced by the makers of This is Daniel Cook, each four-minute episode is a narrated story or song about the adventures of characters like Frank the Crab, Giga the Dinosaur and Alice the Elephant. The movements of the Famous People Player puppets play out on a black background while children re-enact the puppets movements against a crisp white background. Visually stunning and completely compelling, Roll Play combines imaginative storytelling with active movements designed to encourage viewer participation. The series is endorsed by the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Airs Monday through Friday at 9:25 a.m. and 7:55 p.m., Saturdays at 11:25 a.m. and 7:55 p.m., and Sundays at 10:55 a.m. and 7:55 p.m. beginning September 4.

In this original follow-up series to the award winning This is Daniel Cook, six-year-old Emily brings her effervescent personality to her adventures as she learns, explores and creates with everyone from snake handlers to professional basketball players, and from stuffed animal makers to cake bakers. Whoever her guest may be, inquisitive Emily is always up for a new experience or challenge.
