TV Review: Little Mosque on the Prairie “While far from being drop dead funny like other shows that push the envelope, the show does attempt to put a human face on Muslims – as if most moderate minds needed this.”
Nominees announced for $50,000 kids TV prize “Canadian TV programming about young activists, the life of a teen singer-songwriter and an updated revival of a classic fairy tale have been nominated for the 2007 Shaw Rocket Prize.”
Jeff Seymour “On the successful homegrown series Jeff Ltd., the central figure of Jeff Stevens, as performed by veteran stage and TV actor Jeff Seymour, is entirely self-possessed, but somehow he’s still quite likeable. It’s a deft acting trick, considering that most of the character’s time is divided between chasing women and pursuing get-rich-quick schemes. As befits any classic TV character, Jeff invariably strikes out on both counts.”
