From TV Guide – the show debuts in the US this weekend, on CHUM in fall 2007:
- Christina Cox is out for Blood as TV’s sexy new slayer
“A show like Blood Ties crosses genres; it’s action-packed; there’s a great, sexy, unrequited-love element to it; and there are ass-kicking demons, an ass-kicking vampire and a gun-wielding chick. Really, it has all the components.”
Christina:
So far, my wife and I like this new show;however, and DON’T LAUGH,there are certain moral considerations. Doesn’t your character (or the writers) understand that vampires are evil, they kill good people for blood, they represent all things bad and they adversely control whatever they want! How can a person being depicted as caring commit to such an existence and not even give serious thought to the choice she faces by talking to Mike, her friends & family, her church, etc.? Or, is the overall idea to push a liberal,progressive,if-it-feels-good-do-it,no morals,no religious values agenda? Mike and higher values need to be factored into this new show,if it is to be successful to a broad audience. A broad audience is going to be needed,if the show is to have a long run. Just look at how the TV Show Bones handles a true love triangle…right now Blood ties has no real love triangle, rather Mike is just a daytime diversion for your character until the hot, badboy, vampire is up at night. This will not work in the londer run. All the best to you,Christina!

Don’t you understand that humans are evil, they kill good animals for food, they represent all things bad and they adversely control whatever they want!
On the other hand vampires are what ever the writers want them to be.
