Casting is now open for Project Runway Canada

The search is on for the next big name in Canadian fashion

Slice(TM) and Insight Production Company Ltd. have begun the search for the nation’s hottest up-and-coming fashion designers for Project Runway Canada.

From March 12, 2007 through April 13, 2007, designer hopefuls aged 19 years and older are invited to visit slice.ca to download the application form and mail in their submission. The series will find 12 designers competing for the once-in-lifetime chance to show collections at a premiere fashion event in fall 2007.

Ultimately one designer will claim their rightful place in the spotlight, winning the top prize, including $100 000 to begin their own fashion line and a feature spread showing their winning collection in the pages of the country’s foremost fashion magazine.

Produced by Insight Production Company Ltd. the highly-anticipated Canadian format of the Emmy-nominated U.S. series, developed by The Weinstein Company, is set to debut with Slice’s(TM) fall 2007 season.
