The Canadian Television Fund (CTF) premiered a new online newsletter today to celebrate success stories in Canadian TV. Interested readers can sign up to receive the monthly e-newsletter, interacTVity, on the CTF website.
“This is a time of renaissance and revolution in Canadian screen-based content,” said Valerie Creighton, President of the CTF. “Through interacTVity, we’ll be able to share behind-the-scenes stories about our biggest successes, in terms of both projects and people. interacTVity will celebrate the national and international achievements of Canadian television programs and the people behind them.”
In the first issue, interacTVity speaks with White Pine Pictures’ Peter Raymont about Emmys and Oscars, his hit drama The Border, and why documentaries rock on HD. Find out how bilingual broadcaster Teletoon is hunting for Canada’s next top animator, and check in with Quebec’s Sphère Média about producing French and English-language hits, such as Sophie, and selling shows to the world.
