From a media release:
Slice TM’s hit television series Newlywed, Nearly Dead? is in search of GTA couples for the third season and most exciting season of the show.
To qualify, couples must be married three years or less and enjoy good spirited competition with their spouse. Those chosen to take part will receive the unique opportunity to address their newlywed pet peeves with fun and innovative challenges.
Now in its third season, Newlywed, Nearly Dead? helps couples find matrimonial success by giving just-married husbands and wives their very own spouse cameras to collect “evidence†on their other half while he or she does those little things that make them cringe.
Enter marriage expert Gary Direnfeld, who helps couples review the evidence and understand the behaviour to break those nit pick-worthy patterns before newlywed bliss becomes a far fetched fantasy.
“The success of the show demonstrates the degree we’ve truly been able to help couples over the first two seasons.†Says newlywed expert Gary Direnfeld. “Newly married couples tend to underestimate the adjustment period, even if they’ve lived together first. This is a light hearted and fun way to fix things early on.â€
Recent studies suggest how a couple weathers their first two years together can make or break their marriage*. “I will keep up these challenges forever. I think they are very healthy for both of us… this show has seriously helped us out.†Says Laura Lee Ray, newlywed in the show’s most recent episode. “I can’t thank you enough for making my dreams come true. You listened to my every word on what I needed to make our relationship get back on track with my husband.â€
Filming is continuing through into 2009. To take part, email newlywed@propertelevision.com or call 416-598-2500 x224
