Fearless in the Kitchen premieres Oct. 3 on VIVA

From a media release:

COOKING SENSATION CHRISTINE CUSHING TEACHES CANADIANS HOW TO BE FEARLESS IN THE KITCHEN ON VIVA

  • New series premieres in the VIVA Cuisine block on Saturday, October 3 at 7:30 P.M. ET

This October, VIVA, Canada’s only television destination dedicated to Boomer women, brings viewers Fearless in the Kitchen, a new half-hour original series that transforms its participants from culinary disasters into competent cooks with the help of celebrity chef Christine Cushing. Produced by Fusion Television in association with VIVA, Fearless in the Kitchen premieres Saturday, October 3 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Transforming terrible cooks into savvy, fearless chefs who can prepare tasty meals for family and friends is what Fearless in the Kitchen is all about. Using a light-hearted approach, each episode introduces viewers to a new kitchen-challenged participant who will be guided through a series of food-related tasks and experiences by Cushing in order to help them become fearless in their own kitchen. In the end, the terrible cook will have to put their new-found skills to the test and prove once and for all that they can hold their own in the kitchen.

In the first episode, premiering Saturday, October 3 at 7:30 p.m. ET, we meet Susan, a busy career woman and mom. She is clueless when it comes to cooking – having once garnished a ham with pineapples using nails instead of toothpicks. Realizing that it’s going to be a long road to making this cook fearless, Christine starts Susan out with a few kitchen basics. Susan is then thrown from the frying pan in to the fryer, cooking for hundreds of guests at a high profile charity event. Later, she has to cook for her biggest critics – her family and friends. Can Christine help Susan survive the stress…or will everyone starve?

  1. This sounds great.

I did not know there were other terrible boomer cooks. All my friends are great cooks and I hate cooking. It is downright embarrassing how bad I am. I am 49 years old and still wreck pots and flood the kitchen with smoke. I have pretty much given up completely.

I work that night so hopefully I can see the show on line somewhere?
