  1. Here in Australia we don’t see a lot of Canadian shows, although Corner Gas had a bit of a cult following. Heartland is also becoming increasingly popular, and Being Erica is being shown in a prime time slot. Erin Karpluk’s limitless charm is a joy to behold and I can only hope we will see more of her in the future. I am personally majorly turned off by the boring displays of macho that American TV seems to be filled with, even when they don’t mean to be. If I hear one more “once a marine always a marine” line I will scream. It is a great relief to see that Canadians don’t seem to require that sort of nonsense.
