“Melinda Shankar has quickly established herself as something of a queen of generational conflicts. Last year, she joined the cast of CTV’s “Degrassi: The Next Generation” in the dramatic and somewhat dark role of Alli, a high-spirited teenager clashing with conservative South Asian parents.
