With the final votes now cast for Canada’s Favourite Dancer, CTV revealed details today about Sunday’s SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA season finale, a two-hour dance spectacular featuring more than 20 performances. Airing Sunday, October 24 at 9 p.m. ET (7 p.m. AT/MT) on CTV (go to ctv.ca to confirm local listings). The jam-packed finale will feature three new group numbers: the Top 21 will reunite for a theatre routine by guest judge Sergio Trujillo, the Top 10 will perform a jazz routine by Melissa Williams, and the Top 4 will take to the stage for a special routine choreographed by Emmy Award-winner Mia Michaels.
With AMANDA, DENYS, JANICK and JEFF in the running to become Canada?s Favourite Dance, viewers can learn more about the Top 4 during ETALK PRESENTS: SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA, THE FINAL 4 on Saturday, Oct. 23 at 5 p.m. ET on CTV. An encore broadcast of the Top 4 performance show airs on MuchMusic Saturday, Oct. 23 beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET (visit muchmusic.com to confirm local broadcast times).
The finale will also feature memorable routines seen throughout the season including numbers from choreographers Stacey Tookey, Sean Cheesman, Mandy Moore, Sabrina Matthews, Gustavo Vargas, Sho-Tyme, Maria Torres, Francis Lafreni?re and Natalli Reznik and judges Blake McGrath and Luther Brown. Throughout the two-hour finale, viewers will also look back at the journey the Top 4 have been on this season with video recaps.
The Top 4’s journey started almost a year ago during the audition tour, where AMANDA was discovered in Toronto, both DENYS and JANICK in Montreal, and JEFF in Vancouver. Now one member of the Top 4 will be crowned Canada’s Favourite Dancer. Will it be AMANDA Cleghorn, 19, a Contemporary dancer from Mississauga, ON; DENYS Drozdyuk, 25, a Ballroom dancer from Toronto, ON; JANICK Arseneau, 20, a Contemporary dancer from Bathurst, NB; or JEFF Mortensen, 22, a Contemporary dancer from Edmonton, AB.
Leading up to the finale, viewers get an up-close look at the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA Top 4 during the special ETALK PRESENTS: SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA, THE FINAL 4.
