- CBC series inspires empathy
About half a million other Canadians have been tuning in to the show each Monday at 9 p.m. to watch two tough trainers from Vancouver — Mike Veinot and Garfield Wilson — try to whip into shape many of the Taylor, B.C. (population 1,400) residents who are either overweight or obese. And 60 per cent of them are hefty, including many of the children, because their parents feed them meals consisting of processed food and they don’t get enough exercise. Read more.
