Endgame stars Shawn Doyle (Big Love, Lost), as the former World Chess Champion Arkady Balagan. After witnessing the murder of his fianc̩e, Balagan develops a debilitating case of agoraphobia. Unable to leave his hotel and running out of money, the arrogant and charismatic Russian inadvertently becomes a detective Рusing his fierce analytical skills to solve the crimes that baffle others. Balagan relies on friends and hotel employees to do his legwork; from conducting interviews and trailing suspects to bringing back clues. Balagan then uses his strategic thinking to stage imaginative, and often amusing, reenactments in his own mind-until he finds the solution.
Incomprehensible mumbo jumbo, masquerading as drama. Get rid of that dreadful TV music!

what garbage, who dreams up this rubbish, why would someone go to a chess player to find their kid?
Would be interesting to see an arch nemesis appear who is also a chess champion\criminal and have them match wits. Wasn’t too sure how the story line would work out but it looks promising so far.
This show was really entertaining, my wife and I didn’t know what to expect, but it was so fun and unexpected that we can’t wait to see the next episode! I highly recommend it and have my fingers crossed that it keeps filming for a while yet. Oh and the Russian chessmaster main character is awesome!
