Canada’s most-watched new Canadian comedy series returns to CTV with the Season 2 premiere of HICCUPS on Monday, May 30 at 8 p.m. ET (visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times).* Stan (Brent Butt) and Millie (Nancy Robertson) resume their adventures in baby-sitting…err…life-coaching, in Hollywood for the season premiere, setting the tone for an even more exciting season full of laughs and mishaps.

Adding to the fan experience in a distinct way this season is an up-close look at the cast and crew of HICCUPS with the all-new HICCUPS.tv. The entertaining new Web site promises some hiccup-free hilarity with original, exclusive webisodes, interviews and behind the scenes footage for viewers, as they play to win prizes with new Facebook game, “What Would Millie Do”.

HICCUPS kicks off with the first three episodes airing Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET, before moving to its regular slot of Sundays at 8:30 p.m. ET starting June 19. HICCUPS caps off a new red-hot Sunday night comedy line-up on CTV, following all-new episodes of HOT IN CLEVELAND at 8 p.m. ET.

Premiering to more than 2 million viewers in March 2010, Season 1 of HICCUPS was a hit with viewers and critics alike.

As a new season begins, it’s still a case of the lost leading the lost, with the best of intentions and very little chance of success. Millie’s motley crew of colleagues and supporters includes Laura Soltis (THE GUARD) as Joyce, David Ingram (SMALLVILLE) as Taylor Rymes, Emily Perkins (Ginger Snaps) as Crystal, and Paula Rivera (FLASHPOINT) as Anna.

In the Season 2 premiere, a trip to Hollywood is in order for Millie, Stan and Taylor to investigate some options for a Grumpaloo movie. Back at Haddison House, Joyce uses Anna and Crystal as guinea pigs to test homemade skin care products.

Here’s a sneak peek at more hilariously strange moments of Season 2:

  • Millie stops talking
  • Stan takes lessons in hypnotism
  • Millie writes a novel
  • Millie starts a club house in her storage locker
  • Anna and Joyce put Millie on a cleanse
  • Stan learns more about himself than expected in Taylor’s journey towards abstinence
  • Stan wows the ladies in his pottery class
  • Millie plans a living funeral
  • Stan takes up babysitting

Viewers can also enjoy encore broadcasts of HICCUPS on The Comedy Network, Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT, beginning June 2. Also following the television broadcast premiere, episodes of HICCUPS are available on demand on the CTV Video Player at CTV.ca and thecomedynetwork.ca.

Filmed in Vancouver, HICCUPS is produced by Sparrow Media in association with CTV and The Comedy Network. Brent Butt is creator, writer, show runner and executive producer. Executive producers are Laura Lightbown (DAVINCI’S INQUEST, INTELLIGENCE) and David Storey (CORNER GAS), who also directs numerous episodes. Producers are Nancy Robertson and Arvi Liimatainen (INTELLIGENCE). The Director of Photography is Ken Krawczyk (CORNER GAS).
