    Sometimes you don’t have to go far to find the funny. Sometimes it’s right in your own backyard. And often the funniest stuff comes from your own life. Two new Toronto-shot sitcoms debut Thursday night on Showcase: Single White Spenny, chronicling the fictionalized romantic misadventures of former Kenny Versus Spenny foil Spencer Rice; and Almost Heroes, set in a strip-mall comics shop run by two brothers, and created and executive-produced by two brothers, Ryan and Jason Belleville.
