APTN World Premiere: Blackstone Season Two

Will Andy be able to keep the power in his dirty hands? Where will Gail’s addictive personality take her? Will she ever get over Natalie’s death? What will stop Andy from his pursuit of power?

Blackstone returns for its second season with more booze, sex, scandals, and dirty water. At the end of its first award-winning season, Blackstone viewers were left with more questions than answers. Chief Andy Fraser (Eric Schweig) was up to his old antics, causing trouble for many members of the fictitious Blackstone First Nation. What was Andy doing with the gun at the end of the first season? Did he kill his own brother?

What about former Chief Leona Stoney (Carmen Moore)? Did she grow weary of trying to make a positive difference in her home community? How does she deal with the constant barriers put in her way by Blackstone’s current Chief and Council? Will her sister Gail (Michell Thrush) conquer her addiction?

Find the answers to these questions by tuning in on January 11 for the highly anticipated world premiere of season two of Blackstone, an authentic drama that takes an inside look behind the veil of power and politics on a pretend reserve.

The first season of Blackstone won two Gemini Awards and garnered two wins at the 2011 Leo Awards and three wins at the 2011 Alberta Film and Television Awards.

Returning to the second season of Blackstone is a talented ensemble cast of Carmen Moore (Gemini Award nominee), Eric Schweig, Michelle Thrush (Gemini Award winner), Nathaniel Arcand, Roseanne Supernault, Steven Cree Molison, Andrea Menard, Justin Rain and Ashley Callingbull. Joining the series are acclaimed First Nations actors Gary Farmer, Tantoo Cardinal, Georgina Lightning and Michelle Latimer, as well as Cameron Bancroft, Frank Cassini, Vincent Gale and Lori Triolo.
