    This summer, Dr. Peter Farvolden took on a surprising new patient. Farvolden, a Toronto-based therapist who grew up in Kitchener, was hired by the new CBC show Michael: Tuesdays & Thursdays. The show is the story of the lovable Michael Dyer, who suffers from anxiety, and fears everything from vomiting to small talk. Twice a week for 15 years he’s seen Dr. Storper, a cognitive behavioral therapist (CBT) who helps Michael conquer his fears one by one. Read more.

The fabulous Samantha Bee, recently named Comedy Person of the Year at the 12th Annual Canadian Comedy Awards, makes a guest appearance on MICHAEL: TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS, Tuesday, November 15 at 9 p.m. (9:30 NT)

Bee is perhaps best known as the ‘Most Senior Correspondent’ on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. On MICHAEL: TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS, the comedienne plays Wendy Slade, a morning talk show host who puts David (Bob Martin) and Michael/Miguel (Matt Watts) in chef hats and aprons to make huevos rancheros while promoting David’s book. Michael shines, David seems a bit scrambled.
