Endgame stars Shawn Doyle (Big Love, Lost), as the former World Chess Champion Arkady Balagan. After witnessing the murder of his fiancée, Balagan develops a debilitating case of agoraphobia. Unable to leave his hotel and running out of money, the arrogant and charismatic Russian inadvertently becomes a detective by using his fierce analytical skills to solve the crimes that baffle others. Balagan relies on friends and hotel employees to do his legwork; from conducting interviews and trailing suspects to bringing back clues. Balagan then uses his strategic thinking to stage imaginative, and often amusing, reenactments in his own mind until he finds the solution.

    Her Listener character is the one in charge, and to prepare Smith spent time with a woman police sergeant in Toronto. “She said it’s very unrealistic for a woman to try to act like one of the guys, to try to be a dude,” says Smith. “So that’s been the challenge this season, having this writing with a very tough character, and finding ways to tone it down, so she doesn’t come across as too hard-edged.” Read more.

Spliced Family Day Marathon (Four back-to-back episodes)

Monday, February 21 at 3 p.m. ET/PT

As part of the Family Day lineup, TELETOON will be airing four back-to-back episodes of the hilarious series Spliced, which follows the adventures of Peri and his pal Entrée – the leftovers of genetic experiments conducted by a crazy doctor. Abandoned on Keep Away Island along with their friends and a whole neighborhood of mismatched mutants, they attempt to recreate what they can only imagine a normal society to be like.
