While Audrey tries to settle in as a Haven local and as a new police officer in town, she stumbles upon another mysterious event when food, fields and even livestock around Haven all begin to die. She teams up with Nathan to investigate the source of the epidemic and what’s really happening in this extraordinary place.

CBC renews 17 shows

CBC TELEVISION ANNOUNCES 17 RETURNING SHOWS FOR THE 2011-12 SEASON

CBC Television today confirmed a number of returning shows for the 2011-12 season. Among the returning fan favourites are BATTLE OF THE BLADES and DRAGONS’ DEN, which both regularly drew more than 1.5 million viewers this season, the Down East detective hit REPUBLIC OF DOYLE, Season 9 of THE RICK MERCER REPORT and Season 51 of THE NATURE OF THINGS WITH DAVID SUZUKI.

The following favourites have been renewed and will return to the programming schedule:

  • Being Erica
  • Best Recipes Ever
  • Doc Zone
  • Dragons’ Den
  • the fifth estate
  • George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight

Meanwhile, new programming pickups for the 2011-12 season include Mr. D, starring Gerry D and produced by Topsail Entertainment; Michael Tuesdays and Thursdays, featuring the writing and acting talents of Bob Martin and produced by Rhombus Media; the co-production Camelot, from Take 5 Productions; Kevin O’Leary in Dealer to Leader, developed by Wide-Eyed Entertainment in conjunction with CBC; and Cover Me Canada, produced by 11 Entertainment.

Stargate Universe final 10 episodes begin March 8

The final 10 episodes of critically acclaimed SGU begin airing Tuesday, March 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Episodes are also available on demand at SPACECAST.com immediately following the television premiere.

Premiering in Oct. 2009 on SPACE to a record-breaking audience of 624,000 viewers, SGU went on to become a ratings juggernaut as the most-watched series on the channel. The critically acclaimed SGU has been nominated for over 20 awards, including a 2010 Emmy® for “Outstanding Visual Effects and a 2010 Gemini Award.

The final 10 episodes pick up from December’s jarring cliffhanger, where The Destiny encountered two warring races and an ally thought dead returned. In the Season 2.5 premiere, “Deliverance”, The Destiny is now Locked in a battle with a Drone Command Ship and surprised by the arrival of the Aliens that abducted Rush and Chloe.
